6 Finance podcasts you should be listening to

Need something new to listen to? Tired of podcasts that just drone on and, while educational, aren’t any fun? Then have we got the list for you!

We love when our clients want to learn more about their finances and the path to financial freedom. There are so many ways to get informed these days. Whether it’s by books (Read more: 7 finance books that aren’t boring) or podcasts, it’s a worthy pursuit.

Take a look at the podcasts below for inspiration. We curated them to make sure that they’re as entertaining as they are informative!

#1. Financial Wellbeing

The Financial Wellbeing podcast is run by Chris Budd, owner and founder of Ovation Finance. It takes the subject very seriously with podcast topics that run from explaining what a financial plan looks like to ‘The biology of happiness.’ And while they take financial wellbeing seriously, they don’t give themselves the same treatment. Taking a very personal approach to each subject, the hosts and guests bring listeners on a journey each episode with multiple engaging segments.

#2. Money to the Masses

Money to the Masses was created by Damien Fahy, a certified financial planner who saw an opportunity to bring financial advice to a wider audience. With hundreds of episodes under his belt, Damien has an episode for just about anything you could want to know. The podcast is high energy and informative, excellent for pairing with your morning coffee.

#3. The Property Podcast

The Property Podcast is geared toward those looking to use property as an investment tool. Rob Bence and Rob Dix come together to discuss the ins and outs of property investment. They help listeners understand taxes, mortgages, and how to get started. In addition to their weekly podcast, the Rob and Rob team have a section of their site dedicated to education. If property is your passion, this is a great place to get started.

#4. Women on Top

This one is created with women in mind! Women on Top is a podcast dedicated to women in business. Host Frankie Cotton, takes on topics that range from venture capital and starting a business to mental health and anti-racism. This podcast is perfect for the modern businesswoman whether you’re settled in your role or looking to branch out.

#5. Squanderlust

Squanderlust is a fun and sometimes funky podcast run by former financial adviser Martha and former chartered accountant Alex. Together, they dig into the emotional side of money and how your finances can be affected by your emotions just as much as the other way around. They interview industry leaders and share personal anecdotes. Squanderlust creates a friendly and reassuring atmosphere that reminds listeners that everyone is human and could use a little help.

#6. Free Like Me

The Free Like Me podcast is run by none other than FLM Wealth Management! It might be a little cheeky to put our own podcast on this list, but the truth is, we really do think it’s worth giving a listen. The Free Like Me podcast was created for people like you who we talk to every day. We answer all of the questions that you’ve always meant to ask - and have a good time doing it!

With these podcasts handy, we’re positive you’ll be well informed about a whole host of different financial areas in no time. But be sure to keep in mind that these podcasts are general information, so it’s important to consider whether or not they apply to your personal situation. If you decide to act, speak to a professional adviser about your circumstances to make sure it aligns with your goals.

So that’s it! Happy listening!
